Dimensions for TV stands

Old CRTs, bulky and heavy, required a solid stand. And when they were replaced by thin and light TV receivers, it began to seem that the cabinets would cease to be in demand. However, this piece of furniture, stylish and functional, does not lose popularity. In addition, it allows you to easily move the TV to another place if necessary.

Before you start buying a cabinet, you need to choose its size and find out the diagonal of the TV. Too large a TV receiver will protrude beyond the stand, which is unsafe. Indeed, due to its light weight, the TV is enough just to accidentally push it off the nightstand. A small device is visually lost on a cumbersome stand. After the dimensions have become known, you can begin to choose the shape of the cabinet.

In total there are several options:

  1. In the form of a rack. The option is convenient in that the TV is mounted on a bracket mounted in the nightstand. Due to the presence of a holding device, the receiver receives additional stability, it can be adjusted in height and the angle of the screen position can be changed. Also, the stand is equipped with a special channel for the location of the wires.
  2. Plain stand. It does not have any additional functions, except to hold the TV. It usually has small dimensions and can be equipped with a maximum of a pair of shelves. The option is good for small rooms.
  3. Chest of drawers. A bedside table combined with a decent-sized storage system. It can be of different heights. Low ones are usually installed in the living room, while higher models are suitable for the bedroom. Very often, such chests of drawers come with a furniture set that looks like old "walls." However, unlike the latter, the upper tiers of the chest of drawers can be fixed at the desired height.
  4. Wall mounted. Fastens to a wall and has several additional boxes. Thanks to its design, it visually makes the room larger and does not clutter it, therefore it is well suited for small rooms.
  5. Corner The best option for small areas.

Three types are distinguished by height:

  1. Low to 45 cm. Looks very good in rooms made in the style of hi-tech, loft or minimalism.
  2. Medium coasters up to 70 cm. The most common and universal version of the bedside table. Made of various materials and in any design.
  3. Up to 120 cm high. In appearance and functionality are more like a small wall.

  • the piece of furniture must be functional and have additional storage space;
  • the cabinet must be made of high-quality material with good resistance to stress;
  • The stand should be at a comfortable height for viewing.
