The reasons for the leak of a water cooler

The popularity of water coolers is growing. They are used at enterprises, in offices, catering establishments, and many users install these devices even at home. And this is not surprising, because after acquiring a cooler, you can access purified water around the clock. Sometimes this equipment may fail. Not all breakdowns require contacting a service center and can be repaired by the consumer with his own hand.

Possible reasons why the water cooler flowed

The most common reason why the cooler flows from below is low-quality packaging, as well as problems with the tap and contamination of the device. For some consumers, the equipment can work stably for a long time, and some encounter regular leakage, which is associated with improper operation of the device. In addition, it is difficult to control exactly who makes mistakes when using a device with a lower load, if it is installed in an office where a huge number of employees work.

Although leaks can occur in situations where only one person uses the equipment. Therefore, before contacting the master, it is recommended to find out the cause of the leak. Perhaps it is easy to eliminate it yourself and as a result to avoid unplanned expenses.

Methods for eliminating cooler leaks

In the case of using untreated water, after a while, various deposits begin to appear on the walls of the tank. And if you do not clean the device in a timely manner, it may become clogged, resulting in a water leak, or, on the contrary, it will cease to be supplied. In such situations it is necessary:

• disconnect the device from power and remove the bottle;
• wash the device with detergent;
• thoroughly wash and rinse the pallet;
• clean all the taps with a thin brush;
• return everything to its original position and drain about 0.5 liters of water in order to flush the device from the remnants of detergent.

ATTENTION! To prevent such a malfunction, use exclusively purified cooler water.

If a leak occurs during the operation of the cooler, you do not need to immediately contact a service center to repair the equipment. To begin with, do the following: check the device, namely, inspect the water tank for cracks and other damage. If during the inspection process they are found, then you just need to remove the defective bottle and install a new container in its place.

To do this, disconnect the equipment from the electrical network, remove the poor-quality bottle, drain the remaining water from the tap, and then put in a brand new tank. The removed bottle must be wrapped in tape and returned to the equipment supplier.

ATTENTION! Water can flow through the top and due to the lack of a special plug in the drain valve. It is far from always possible to put it on your own, and therefore it is recommended to consult a specialist.

It is possible that other malfunctions will occur during the use of the device. But they can hardly be eliminated on their own, which is why it will be necessary to take the equipment to a specialized repair center.

How to use a cooler

There are several recommendations for the proper operation of the equipment, using which you can significantly increase the life of the cooler and avoid expensive repairs:

1. Before installing a new bottle, remove stickers, cork and sanitary tape from the neck.
2. Use exclusively purified water.
3. When the device is in cooling or heating mode, it must not be disconnected from the power supply.
4. It is not necessary to use a thermostat at the time of operation of the cooler in cooling mode.
5. When the water tank is empty, the cooler must be disconnected from the network.
6. It is necessary to do regular cleaning of the device (wiping the case 1-2 times a week).
